Create a bootable diskette

To create a bootable floppy disk:

The option "Start can create CD" to make you installed a bootable floppy disk that contains the diagnostic tool. Make sure that you a blank floppy disk available are overridden as the program data that is currently on the disk. [Use not your family photos to disc, or the disc save on your homework.]

I would recommend formatting each disk that you you want to use before you create with the program. In this way you can avoid problems with the disc does not work, as soon as it on written was. You can select it by clicking on "My computer" and then right click on drive "A:\" and the format option from the menu. Make sure that the drive that you in fact wipe out your floppy disk drive is to avoid data on one of the hard drives.

When you create the option start CD, it brings a small window that says "select the floppy disk that you want to use, and then click Create" click. Since the floppy drive should be ready to go now, go ahead and click on "create". You see the lights on your floppy drive come up, and a progress bar will know you when the process is complete. Once it's done, is it "success - floppy disk created successfully" say. You have now created your diagnostic CD.

Check the disc by clicking on "My computer" and then clicking on the "A:\"-Laufwerk to ensure that you files on the disk to ensure that see was created successfully. "

You can now close the disc maker application and leave your floppy disk in the floppy drive. [If the system you want to diagnose this.] Once you are closed select "Reboot" of the computer program, and make sure that the floppy disk is in the drive.

After the computer restarts, you should automatically go in the diagnostic tool on the disk. Some computers have changed the boot order, from a floppy disk to boot have run. If this is the case, when you restart your computer it go straight back into Windows.

If it the system again and search for a message to a specific key, type "setup" hit start. On most systems it is the "delete"-button. This will take you to a screen with a blue background. You can now in the BIOS of the computer. You will carefully if working in the BIOS as any changes that you make can affect the system.

You are looking for a section, that has something similar to "Regulation-boot" that should list of 3 or 4 devices. A floppy disk's boot disc, you want to make sure that the first device listed "floppy". If there is something else, select the device, and then click Enter, which should bring a menu with multiple devices. The arrow keys, you can select the "floppy" option from the list. Once you have chosen it, hit enter again and there you are returned to the boot order screen. Do not press ESC T and so make sure the first device to the drive is listed now.

One other thing, keeping the system can by booting from the floppy drive is an option that says "Boot Floppy Seek". This must be set so that the system verify the floppy drive, if it will boost above enable. If it is disabled, please follow the above procedures selecting a different option from the list.

Once you have made the necessary changes, press the F10 key and the system will be questions, whether you want to save changes and restart. Say yes, or "Y" and then hit enter. The system will now reboot and if you have your floppy drive in the system, it will automatically go into diagnostic mode.
